Sunday will make 5 years since my life was suddenly and completely inverted. I've posted a few bits and pieces as responses to other people's journals, but for the short and sweet version, my fiancee of 4 years left me for someone else.

I have since moved on, gotten married, and have a wonderful wife and children. So... why mark this anniversary? Outside of the vague hurt that I have determined will linger probably for as long as I live, it reminds me how far I have come. Five years ago, I flet I was the one without artistic talent, only on dA because she was here (yes, her profile still is, but she hasn't been on in several years). Now, between what I've remembers from learing from her, and what I've learned on my own, I feel I'm coming into my own right. No, I'm not the greatest, but I've made a few people laugh and smile, so that's enough.

So here's to the past, and moving forward.
